Planning Overview.
The sections from the “Foreword” up to and including “The Common Denominator of Success” are an overview of the planning process and are there for information purposes and require no interaction.

Personal Goal Setting.
The “How Much Do You Personally Need” section has a requirement to input your Lifestyle Goals, Living Expenses, your Average Tax Rate and your Personal
Income. This section could be referred to as your personal goal setting section and it is important to note that it does not include any business expenses. They will be included in the business cash flow segment.

Business Foresight.
This module includes the Business Plan Overview of the sections that follow. It also includes Vision Statement and Mission statement. Both allow you to answer questions regarding where you want the business to be and write a brief statement of Vision and Mission.

Business History.
This module includes Profile, Business Summary and Statistical Data. Completing these sections will give a good understanding of the people in your business plus where you are in relation to where you want to be. You are asked to answer
questions that get you thinking about what is actually being done in your business.

Activity Analysis.
The sections “Core Functions”, “Tasks” and “S.W.O.T Analysis” all interact with each other and need to be used in order. If you do not enter a core function you will not be able to allocate tasks and hence not do a complete SWOT analysis. This
allows you to drill down to the micro tasks that are performed and analyse how well they are being done. This enables you to decide on any training or
improvement needs.

Market Analysis.
This module is a brief look at your market place. You are asked a number of
questions to help clarify your market place. You then have four action plan
worksheets allowing you to plan to capitalise on opportunities.

Objectives and Action Plans.
The “Key Objectives”, “Strategies and Action Plans” and “Daily Activities” are all linked as they form the direction for the business into the future. As any strategies and action plans must be directly linked to the objectives, you will only be able to complete this section after you enter objectives. This will automatically complete the daily activities, which provides a list of the activities that must be done to achieve the business goals.

Cash Flow.
This module allows you to enter business expenses and income. The income type can be classed as either passive or new. The module also includes a section titled “how much activity is needed?’.  In this section you can input activities and an
associated value. The program will automatically calculate how much of the stated
activity is needed to generate the new income.

Time Management.
This module asks questions in relation to your daily habits, what records you will keep and how you will appraise yours and your staff’s performance.
